Senator Harbison has contacted the association president via telephone on Friday March 2, 2007. However, the president was unavailable. The senator's call was returned later and the senator was unavailable. A message was left on the senator's voice mail. The bingo issue and the DV license plate law O.C.G.A. 40-2-69 are two issues that we want discuss with Senator Harbison.

Senator Harbison votes NO on SB-396- This bill allows deadly force, if someone reasonably believes that their life or the life of another is in danger.

Elected officials are important to our members and the Georgia law enforcement community. Because we are public officers, we are dependant upon our elected officials at all levels of Georgia government for support. As our members cannot personally meet with each individual candidate, our legislative-governmental affairs committee strives to learn the position of each candidate on the issues of interest to our members, the Georgia law enforcement and military communities and the voters at large and make recommendations as to which candidate we believe will best represent and support our interests.
