Elected officials are important to our members and the Georgia law enforcement and military community. Because we are public law enforcement officers and federal employees of the various branches of the United States Armed Forces, we are dependant upon our elected officials at all levels of the government for support. As our members cannot personally meet with each individual candidate, our legislative-governmental affairs committee strives to learn the position of each candidate on the issues of interest to our members, the Georgia law enforcement and military communities and the voters at large and make recommendations as to which candidate we believe will best represent and support our interests.
