COUNCIL POST 9 November 2010 Run Off ELECTION Incumbent Issue
Wayne Anthony had to resign his Council Post, when he announced his bid for mayor.	Judy Thomas has served as Mayor Wetherington's Executive Assistant since he was elected mayor. The Southern States Board of Directors adopts the recommendation of its Legislative Committee, by endorsing Judy Thomas for Columbus City Council. The Board urges all members and the citizens of Columbus to cast their vote for Judy Thomas on November 30. 2010.	Judy will work to improve public safety and move Columbus forward in a positive manner for all citizens of Muscogee County.

Elected officials are important to our members and the Georgia law enforcement community. Because we are public officers, we are dependant upon our elected officials at all levels of Georgia government for support. As our members cannot personally meet with each individual candidate, our legislative-governmental affairs committee strives to learn the position of each candidate on the issues of interest to our members, the Georgia law enforcement and military communities and the voters at large and make recommendations as to which candidate we believe will best represent and support our interests.
