| Contribution to the
Service Fund

This fund is used to help defray
VA claims and other costs for peace officers and veterans requesting assistance
on a claim. Funding is always needed to pay for telephone/fax service. postage
relating to a claimant's filing of claim. Our claims service officers (CSO)
receive no compensation for assisting a veteran or a peace officer. Our Judge
Advocates (Lawyers) receive no compensation for their legal advice. |
Contribution to the Health and Welfare fund
This fund is used to fund unexpected issues of
member peace officers or veterans who request assistance with an emergency situation. |

* Donations go to the legal/research/service fund and to our other member service programs. The legal assistance fund is used to provide legal fees to those peace officer members who may need an attorney if they become a defendant in an adverse administrative action against them by their employing law enforcement agency. If you would like to help with this effort,
please click on the "Make a Donation" icon above.
* All claims assistance is provided and handled by active/retired peace officers
and/or veterans of a branch of our armed forces who volunteer their time and provide their law enforcement
and military expertise to help a fellow peace officer or active, retired or
former military veteran in a time of need. Claims needing the expertise of an attorney will be reviewed
by a Judge Advocate (lawyer) to determine a need for legal assistance. Most claims do not require the assistance of attorneys.
Most claim requests involve VA issues or
administrative adverse actions taken against a law enforcement officer by his or
her agency. For each $5.00 contribution, enter a number in the quantity box. Example to donate $10 enter the #2 to donate $25 enter the #5 etc. |
