Contribution to the Legal Defense Fund
This fund is used to help defray legal costs of members and other peace officers and veterans who may request assistance of a legal nature.

Contribution to the Health and Welfare fund
This fund is used to fund unexpected issues of members and other peace officers or veterans who might request assistance with an emergency situation.

* Donations go to the legal/research fund and to our other member service programs. The legal assistance fund is used to provide legal fees to those peace officer members who may need an attorney if they become a defendant in an adverse administrative action against them by their employing law enforcement agency. If you would like to help with this effort, please click on the "Make a Donation" icon above.

* All other claims assistance is provided and handled by active/retired peace officers who volunteer their time and provide their law enforcement expertise to help a fellow officer in a time of need. Claims needing the expertise of an attorney will be reviewed to determine a need for legal assistance. Most claims do not require the assistance of attorneys.
